Nebraska recently changed its laws regarding individuals who were sentenced to a 15 year license revocation without ignition interlock for DUI convictions. Under the new law, those individuals may now apply to obtain an ignition interlock on their vehicle for the remainder of their revocation. With the interlock device installed on their vehicle they will be able to drive anywhere in the state of Nebraska at any time as long as they do not have any alcohol in their system.
In order to obtain an ignition interlock, however, you must go through the application process and have a hearing in front of the Nebraska Board of Pardons. The Nebraska Board of Pardons is comprised of the Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General. Give us a call today to schedule a meeting to discuss the requirements needed and what your options are. We would be happy to try and assist you in this very important part of your life.
